Spending on fire safety measures at Moscow region clinics will be increased seriously - acting governor
MOSCOW. April 26 (Interfax) - The Moscow region authorities have considerably increased funding for the local healthcare sector, the region's acting governor Andrei Vorobyev said on Friday.
"Allocations of 1.5 billion rubles were earmarked for these purposes - fire safety measures - this year. We have increased this figure many times as part of the Healthcare program," he said.
Addressing the heads of the Moscow region's districts, Vorobyev asked them to pay great attention to healthcare institutions located far from towns and villages.
The acting governor also ordered that all social sector institutions of the region be equipped with audible fire alarm systems.
"Audible notification systems should be installed that would be able to wake up even those who have difficulty doing it. I ask you to pay great attention to the fact that we do not need any mute fire alarms. Sound accompaniment is required even at nighttime," he said.
