Japan, Russia to accelerate talks on peace treaty - Japanese PM
MOSCOW. April 29 (Interfax) - Tokyo and Moscow have agreed to restart and accelerate the talks on the conclusion of a peace treaty.
"The talks on the conclusion of a peace treaty have been at standstill for the past few years. But we agreed in the current talks to restart and accelerate this process. I see this as our big achievement," Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said after talks with President Vladimir Putin.
