Gazprom Q4 IFRS net profit down 4% to 369 bln rubles

MOSCOW. April 30 (Interfax) - Gazprom saw its net profit to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) fall 4% year-on-year in Q4 2012 to 368.904 billion rubles, the Russian gas giant said in a repot.

This was more or less in line with the 367 billion rubles profit that the company itself forecast for the period, but better than the 354 billion rubles that analysts predicted in a consensus forecast for Interfax - two analysts brought the overall forecast down as they did not agree with the company itself.

Revenue grew 5% to 1.413 trillion rubles, above a forecast 1.134 trillion rubles. The main reason for the discrepancy here is a drop in retroactive payments, from 133.186 billion rubles to 102.749 billion rubles.

Earnings before taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) fell 7% year-on-year to 515.871 billion rubles, which was way above a forecast 497 billion rubles.

Net cash flow was 75.047 billion rubles ($2.415 billion).

Forex translation gains were 17.l44 billion rubles.
