Police prevent terror attack in Lipetsk on Sunday

LIPETSK. May 6 (Interfax) - A man with a home-made bomb was detained at the central cemetery in Lipetsk on Sunday, spokesperson for the regional police Natalya Maslakova told Interfax on Monday.

"The man, 41, is suspected of plotting a terror attack. He wanted a bomb blast to kill people who visited the cemetery on the Eastern holiday. 'Life is too Bad,' he said explaining his plan," according to Maslakova.

The man was spotted by a policeman, who asked him to show the inside of his suspicious bags.

Investigators and bomb disposal experts, called to the scene, discovered gas containers tied together, a container filled with gasoline, lighters and matches inside the bags.

The suspect was detained.
