TsUM increases revenue 16% in Q1

MOSCOW. May 8 (Interfax) - Russia's OJSC Central Universal Department Store (TsUM) boosted revenues 16% year-on-year to 2.83 billion rubles in Q1 2013, according to the company's financial report.

Cost of goods sold climbed from 2.096 billion rubles in Q1 2012 to 2.29 billion rubles last quarter. Gross profit was up 34.4% to 986.25 million rubles.

Profit before tax came to 33.98 million rubles, compared to 5.089 million rubles a year earlier. Net profit skyrocketed 11.2-fold to 26.6 million rubles.
