Surkov promises to reveal reasons for resignation later

MOSCOW. May 8 (Interfax) - Vladislav Surkov has promised to reveal reasons behind his decision to resign as a deputy prime minister and head of the government secretariat later.

"I will tell you later about this. When the time is right," Surkov told Kommersant.

He said he tendered his resignation on April 26.

President Vladimir Putin signed a decree accepting Surkov's voluntary resignation as a deputy prime minister and head of the government secretariat earlier on Wednesday.
