Surprise inspections of the troops to be continued - Kremlin spokesman
SOCHI. May 13 (Interfax) - Surprise inspections of the troops will be continued, said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
"The practice of holding unscheduled checks and military exercises will be continued," Peskov told the media after a meeting chaired by President Vladimir Putin discussed surprise inspections of the armed forces' combat readiness.
He said the president's opinion of the unscheduled exercises in the Southern military district on March 28 and 29 was generally positive. "Putin said that certain problems had been uncovered, which is in fact what drills are intended for, but this will help make adjustments and perfect further work," Peskov sauid.
