Ban Ki-moon says urges Syria's neighbors to maximum restraint to avoid conflict escalation
NEW YORK (UN)/MOSCOW. May 15 (Interfax) - UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said he urged Syria's neighbors to use restraint to avoid further escalation of the Syrian conflict.
"We call on all sides to exercise maximum calm and restraint, and to act with a sense of responsibility to prevent an escalation of what is already a devastating and highly dangerous conflict," Ban Ki-moon said in an interview.
Ban Ki-moon arrives on a visit in Russia on May 16.
