High-ranking Chinese military men to visit Minsk

MINSK. May 16 (Interfax) - Issues relating to military cooperation between Belarus and China will be discussed in Minsk on Thursday, the Belarusian Defense Ministry press service told Interfax on Wednesday.

"A Chinese delegation led by Colonel-General Sui Tsilan, a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and deputy chairman of the Chinese Central Military Council, will pay an official visit to Belarus on May 16-19, 2013," the Belarusian Defense Ministry said.

"On the first day of the visit, the meeting will officially open and Belarusian Defense Minister Yury Zhadobin will have negotiations with Colonel-General Sui Tsaihou," the ministry said.

"The meeting participants will discuss the main areas of further development of bilateral military cooperation," the ministry said.
