Medvedev wants Customs Union states to jointly combat semi-legal imports
MOSCOW. May 16 (Interfax) - The Customs Union member countries should jointly crackdown on semi-legal imports from third countries, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said.
"We ought to try to protect the entire external frontier of the Customs Union and act together with our partners to minimize the risks of semi-legal imports from third countries," the premier said at a government session on Thursday.
However, the amounts of these imports are still growing, which is "a matter of great concern for us," he said.
"We will not be able to cope with this problem acting on our own. We need to act jointly in this issue, together with Belarus and Kazakhstan," he said.
