Insurer Rosgosstrakh quadruples RAS net profit to 1.8 bln rubles in Q1

MOSCOW. May 16 (Interfax) - Russia's largest insurance company LLC Rosgosstrakh quadrupled its net income to 1.755 billion rubles in Q1 2013, according to the insurer's financial report to Russian Accounting Standards (RAS).

Total insurance premiums under insurance, co-insurance and re-insurance contracts collected by Rosgosstrakh in Q1 2013 rose 13% year-on-year to 25.8 billion rubles. The company's insurance payments climbed 20% to 10.1 billion rubles.
