Putin discussed fleet issues with military chiefs
SOCHI. May 16 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed on Thursday during traditional daily consultations with the Russian Defense Ministry's chiefs the development of the Russian fleet, Putin's press secretary Dmitry Peskov told reporters.
"Vladimir Putin has held a meeting with the Defense Ministry's chiefs and commanders-in-chief, during which he discussed in detail prospects and main directions of the Russian fleet's development, its underwater and surface components," Peskov said.
Earlier this week, the Russian president held a meeting on missile shield issues and on the development of the strategic rocket forces.
