Rosoboronexport plans to deliver 140 military helicopters to foreign markets in 2013

MOSCOW. May 17 (Interfax-AVN) - Russia's state arms trader Rosoboronexport plans to deliver 140 helicopters worth $2.2 billion to its foreign customers in 2013, Grigory Kozlov, director of the company's helicopter exports and services department, told Interfax-AVN.

"In 2013, we plan to export 140 helicopters worth $2.2 billion," he said.

Last year's helicopter exports totaled $1.6 billion, Kozlov said.

"We have a good portfolio of signed contracts. It is valued at approximately $5.8 billion. Work is also under way on potential contracts valued at around $9 billion," he said.

Just 12 Mil Mi-8 and Mi-17 military helicopters were exported in 2000, Kozlov said. Today's exports include Mi-171V, Mi-17V5, Mi-171
