Ukrnafta cuts oil production 7.2%, gas 2.9% in 4M
KYIV. May 17 (Interfax) - PJSC Ukrnafta, Ukraine's largest oil company, reduced oil production by 7.2% year-on-year in January-April to 607,810 tonnes, a source at the Energy and Coal Ministry told Interfax.
Gas condensate production fell 4.4% to 65,030 tonnes.
The company reduced gas production by 2.9%, to 641.47 million cubic meters, with natural gas output falling 5.1% to 493.25 million cubic meters.
Ukrnafta cut oil production 2.2% in 2012 to 2.034 million tonnes, but increased gas condensate production 3% to 199,010 tonnes. Gas production fell 6.3% to 2.011 billion cubic meters, and natural gas extraction declined by 3.7% to 1.595 billion cubic meters.
Naftogaz Ukrainy owns 50% plus one share in Ukrnafta, and a group of companies associated with the shareholders of PrivatBank (Dnipropetrovsk) owns about 42% of the shares.
