Gottemoeller sees chances for bringing approaches of Russia, U.S. closer on European security
MOSCOW. May 22 (Interfax) - Acting U.S. Under Secretary of State Rose Gottemoeller finds it possible to bring the positions of Russia and the United States on European security issues closer to each other and is optimistic about the prospects of Russian-U.S. relations.
Addressing Russian journalists at a reception offered on behalf of the Russian Defense Minister ahead of an international conference on European security in Moscow she said that in her opinion there is a chance of rapprochement between the two countries in the sphere of European security.
Gottemoeller was confident about the further development of Russian-U.S. relations. She said she is an optimist by nature and always looks with optimism at the prospect of relations between Russia and the United States.
