Moscow infrastructure unaffected by earth tremors - emergencies ministry
MOSCOW. May 24 (Interfax) - Moscow's infrastructure, including airports and railway terminals, are working as usual following tremors felt in the city, a spokesman for the Emergency Situations Ministry's National Crisis Management Center told Interfax.
"Neither casualties, nor destruction have been registered. All infrastructure facilities, including airports and railway terminals, are working as usual," the spokesman said.
The earthquake was mostly felt on the upper floors of tall apartment buildings, the Emergency Situations Ministry said.
Over 2,000 emergency management groups were formed after tremors ran through the Far East and Siberian federal districts, to inspect the territory.
The tsunami alert announced earlier was lifted at 10 a.m. Moscow time.
