Technical failure, pilot error are main theories of Mi-8 crash in Saratov rgn - source
MOSCOW. May 28 (Interfax-AVN) - A technical failure or pilot error might have caused the crash of a Mil Mi-8 military helicopter in the Saratov region, a source close to the investigative commission told Interfax-AVN on Tuesday.
"According to what we know, we may presume that the helicopter crashed because of a technical failure or inexperienced actions of the crew," he said.
Preliminary information shows the helicopter started shaking violently and the blades of the main rotor hit the tail. The helicopter went out of control and fell.
