Finance minister saddened by news of Guriyev's resignation

MOSCOW. May 29 (Interfax) - Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov is saddened by the news of the resignation of the head of the New Economic School Sergei Guriyev.

"I am very sorry that he is leaving," the minister told reporters on Wednesday.

He said he met Guriyev at different expert conferences on economic issues.

"I don't know what problems he has with investigative bodies. We met him as an expert, contacted him. In general, he offered support to us," Siluanov said.
