Former SPIMEX chief Maslov appointed Corporation of Development chief

YEKATERINBURG. May 30 (Interfax) - The supervisory board of OJSC Corporation of Development at a meeting on Thursday appointed Sergei Maslov, the former head of the St. Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange (SPIMEX), as the corporation's general director.

According to a Corporation of Development press release, its former CEO Alexander Beletsky, who held the reigns since 2011, has decided to resign of his own will.

"Alexander Beletsky's activities have been positively and highly praised by the shareholders," chairman of the corporation's supervisory board Boris Kirillov is quoted as saying in the statement.

Corporation of Development's operational report met with both supervisory board and shareholder approval at the annual general meeting on Thursday.

Maslov was born on August 15, 1960 and graduated from the Surgut Petroleum Technical School and Moscow State Law Academy. He began his career at Surgutneftegas in 1975 and has held leading positions at Lukoil subsidiaries since the 1990s.

Maslov became president of OJSC Transnefteproduct in February 2001 and was elected president of the SPIMEX in 2008. He resigned from that post in 2011.

Corporation of Development is the management company for the Ural Industrial - Ural Polar project, which entails exploring, researching and operating mineral resource deposits, building railroads and constructing power facilities.

The corporation's shareholders include the Tyumen, Chelyabinsk and Sverdlovsk regions, the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District and the Khanty-Mansiisk Autonomous District.
