Gasoline prices in Russia stable for third consecutive week - Rosstat

MOSCOW. May 30 (Interfax) - Russian drivers saw no changes in automobile gasoline prices across the country over the period May 21-27, the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) reported.

Prices were also stable in the preceding two weeks, prior to which they declined 0.2% per week for two weeks.

Diesel fuel prices were also unchanged in the week of May 21-27, after edging down 0.1% the previous week.

Gasoline prices increased 1.5% between the start of 2013 and May 27, and diesel fuel prices rose 1.2%.

Gasoline prices were unchanged in 62 centers of constituent Russian regions on May 21-27.

There were price decreases in 16 centers, including by 1.3% in Ulan-Ude.

Gasoline prices climbed in five centers, including 0.2% in Grozny.

In Moscow and St. Petersburg, prices were practically unchanged.

The cost of a liter of gasoline averaged 29.28 rubles in Russia on May 27 (29.29 rubles on May 20), including A-76 (Ai-80) - 26.88 rubles (also 26.88 rubles), Ai-92/93 - 28.38 rubles (28.39 rubles), high-octane (Ai-95 and up) - 31.07 rubles (31.08 rubles), and diesel fuel - 31.03 rubles (also 31.03 rubles).

Gasoline production in Russia during the period May 21-27 was down 2.2% week-on-week at 691,100 tonnes. Diesel fuel output was up 5% to 1.382 million tonnes.
