Russian oil export duty falls $19.1 to $359.3/tonne on June 1

MOSCOW. June 3 (Interfax) - The export duty on Russian oil fell by $19.1 to $359.3 a tonne on June 1, from $378.4 per tonne in May.

The discounted duty on oil from East Siberia, Caspian fields and the Prirazlomnoye field is now $165.5/tonne, compared to the previous rate of $179.8/tonne.

The duty on superviscous oil fell to $35.9/tonne as of June 1, from the $37.8/tonne that went into effect on May 1.

The duty on light and dark petroleum products, which was unified to 66% of the duty on crude oil as of October 1, 2011, fell to $237.1/tonne on June 1, from $249.7/tonne in May.

The duty on gasoline exports, based on a coefficient of 0.9, was lowered to $323.3/tonne as of June 1, from $340.6/tonne in May.

The duty on liquefied gas climbed to $72.2/tonne on June 1, from $71.5/tonne in May.

Pursuant to amendments to the law governing the customs tariff, the duties for oil and petroleum products have been published on the Economic Development Ministry's website on a monthly basis since April 1. These duties are not established by government orders as in the past.
