Putin: Attempts to influence Syria situation by force will cause humanitarian disaster

YEKATERINBURG,. June 4 (Interfax) - Attempts to influence the situation in Syria by direct military interference will not bring any result, said President Vladimir Putin.

"We on our part are making a point again that all attempts to influence the situation by force, or direct military interference, are doomed to failure and they would entail grave humanitarian consequences," Putin said at a press conference at a Russia-European summit.
