Retail deposits in Russian banks up 2.4% in March - Rosstat
MOSCOW. June 5 (Interfax) - Retail deposits in ruble and forex accounts at Russian banks totaled 14.739 trillion rubles by April 1, 2013, up 2.4% over the start of March, the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) said.
Sberbank of Russia accounted for 45.0% of all retail savings on April 1, 0.1 percentage points down from March 1.
About 12.117 trillion rubles had accumulated in ruble accounts at Russian banks by that date, up 23.4% year-on-year. Forex deposits in ruble equivalent totaled 2.622 trillion rubles, up 20.9%.
Russians had accumulated 6.632 trillion rubles at Sberbank by April 1, including 5.929 trillion rubles in ruble accounts (up 19.6%) and 702.2 billion rubles in forex accounts (up 20.1%).
