Russian, Danish foreign ministers discuss cooperation in Arctic, Syria crisis

MOSCOW. June 6 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov met with his Danish counterpart Villy Sovndal on the sidelines of the 18th Ministerial Session of the Council of the Baltic Sea States in the Kaliningrad region on Wednesday.

The ministers discussed key topics on the Russian-Danish agenda, including ways to deepen the political dialogue between the two countries and further promote their trade and business cooperation, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on its website on Thursday.

"The sides also discussed issues surrounding cooperation with Denmark in the Arctic region and problems on the international agenda, including European security, the situation in Syria and the Middle East settlement process," it said.
