Surgutneftegas May oil output flat y-o-y at 5.2 mln tonnes

MOSCOW. June 6 (Interfax) - Surgutneftegas produced 5.2 million tonnes of oil last month, even with last May, a company statement says.

The company extracted 606,500 tonnes of oil from deposits in Yakutia in May, 11% more year-on-year.

Around one billion cubic meters (bcm) of gas was produced last month.

"In-house drilling in May of this year reached 469,300 meters of rock including exploratory drilling exceeding 16,000 meters. Compared to the same period of the previous year, increase in the company['s] exploratory drilling meterage amounted to about 10%," Surgutneftegas said.
