Military solution won't bring peace to Syria - German foreign minister
PIONERSKY, KALININGRAD REGION. June 6 (Interfax) - Germany opposes a military solution to the conflict in Syria, German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle told a press conference in Pionersky, the Kaliningrad region, following a meeting between the foreign ministers of the countries of the Council of the Baltic Sea States on Thursday.
"We would like to use every chance, every opportunity to work out a political solution. We think a military solution will not lead to durable peace and stable, democratic development of Syria," Westerwelle said.
