Russia imports 21% more medications in Jan-April
MOSCOW. June 7 (Interfax) - Russia imported $3.87 billion worth of medications in the first four months of this year, a 21% year-on-year increase, the Federal Customs Service (FCS) reported.
Imports from countries outside the Commonwealth of Independent States were up 21.5% at $3.8 billion, while imports from CIS countries were down 9% at $30.8 million.
Russia imported $38.6 million worth of antibiotics in January-April, 43% more year-on-year. Antibiotic mports from non-CIS countries were up 46% at $37.1 million, while those from CIS countries were down 12.5% at $1.4 million.
