7 Georgian soldiers killed, 9 wounded in Afghanistan
TBILISI. June 7 (Interfax) - Seven Georgian soldiers were killed and nine more wounded in a suicide bomber attack at a Georgian military base in Afghanistan, the Georgian Defense Ministry reported.
The Defense Ministry expressed condolences to the families of those killed.
Those wounded were taken to a military hospital. Their lives are out of danger.
Georgia dispatched 1,600 soldiers to Afghanistan. Twenty-two have been killed and more that 130 wounded over three years of Georgia's presence in Afghanistan.
