Intergas Central Asia sees 3.8% drop in IFRS net profit in Q1
ALMATY. June 7 (Interfax) - Intergas Central Asia JSC in January-March 2013 had 9.887 billion tenge in net profit to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), down 3.8% from Q1 2012, according to the financial results under IFRS.
The company's revenue in the in quarter increased by 3.1% to 26.3 billion tenge and gross profit rose by 1% to 12.975 billion tenge, but profit before tax fell 4.2% to 9.854 billion tenge (151.31 tenge/$1 on June 7).
The company's assets for the period rose 2.6% to $336.672 billion tenge, liabilities decreased by 1% to 126.573 billion tenge, equity capital increased by 4.9% to 210.1 billion tenge, share capital stood at 2.3 billion tenge.
Intergas Central Asia JSC was organized in June 1997 when the company received a concession to operate and manage Kazakhstan's gas transportation system. Intergas Central Asia is part of KazTransGas JSC (a subsidiary of National Company KazMunayGas). The company operates Kazakhstan's main gas transportation pipelines, which are over 14,000 km long and have a throughput capacity of 190 billion cubic meters.
