UTair group flies 13% more passengers in 5M

MOSCOW. June 10 (Interfax) - The aviation group UTair (RTS-TMAT) carried 13.2% more passengers in January-May than it did in the same period last year, 3.478 million in all, a company statement says.

Passenger turnover increased 15.9% to 6.654 billion passenger-kilometers.

The group transported 11,445 tonnes of cargo in January-May, 12.1% more year-on-year.

The company flew 876,600 passengers just in May, up 20.5%, and turnover was up 25.3% at 1.672 billion passenger-km.

UTair is one of Russia's biggest air-carriers. Surgutneftegas owns 60.67% of shares. UTair's fleet currently includes over 250 fixed-wing aircraft and more than 350 helicopters of various types and classes.
