Maria Florentyeva named Rostelecom vice president
MOSCOW. June 10 (Interfax) - Rostelecom has named Maria Florentyeva to be vice president responsible for strategy and investor relations, the company said in a statement.
Florentyeva is a former business partner of Sergei Kalugin, who was appointed president of Rostelecom in March. She and Kalugin were co-founders of WebMediaGroup, which includes the portals zoomby.ru, menu.ru, bank.ru, credit.ru, doctavka.ru and others, where she headed up finance, corporate development and investor relations.
Florentyeva previously served as corporate development director at National Telecommunications (NTK) when Kalugin headed the company.
Florentyeva will take over a portion of the duties currently performed by Mikhail Magrilov, the head of strategy and operational efficiency. Magrilov, who was a partner at PwC in Russia before moving to Rostelecom less than one year ago, will remain a vice president and member of the management board in charge of operational efficiency, Magrilov said.
Florentyeva is the sixth Rostelecom vice president to be named since Kalugin's appointment.
