Russians advised to exercise caution at Turkish resorts

MOSCOW. June 17 (Interfax) - The Russian Foreign Ministry has confirmed the recommendation for Russians traveling to Turkey not to visit venues of demonstrations and to exercise caution.

"The recommendations we set forth in our commentary of June 6 remains in force," Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich said at a press briefing.

"We warned Russian citizens traveling to Turkey's resorts that they should remain on alert and, if possible, stay away from venues of demonstrations," he said.

Lukashevich described the current developments in Turkey as an internal affair, noting that Russia and Turkey are close partners in the region.
