FSB officer killed in Dagestan

MAKHACHKALA/ROSTOV-ON-DON. June 18 (Interfax) - An officer of the Dagestani department of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) was killed on Monday night in the village of Babayurt, the Dagestani department of the Russian Investigative Committee told Interfax.

"We received a report that around 10.30 p.m. unidentified assailants killed an FSB officer in his house in the village of Babayurt," the Dagestani department of the Russian Investigative Committee said.

According to preliminary information, three attackers got into the officer's house and killed him, a source with the district police told Interfax.

The attackers are being searched for.
