Aeroflot did not receive offer from Lebedev to buy shares

LE BOURGET. June 19 (Interfax) - Businessman Alexander Lebedev did not ask OJSC Aeroflot Russian Airlines to buy up his shares in the airline, Aeroflot CEO Vitaly Savelyev told the press.

The media reported that Lebedev, who has said he owns 4.5% of the airline, is looking for a buyer for his stake. Around a year ago Lebedev had 10% of Aeroflot.

"There is no decision from the board of directors, he [Lebedev] always wants there to be buying, our board has not considered or received any request," he said.

Rostec CEO Sergei Chemezov said the company is not planning to sell its 3.55% in Aeroflot.

Based on current capitalizaiton, 4.5% of Aeroflot is worth around 2.5 billion rubles.

The government is the majority shareholder with 51.17% of Aeroflot.
