One person killed in testing ground explosion - Samara region's governor

SAMARA. June 19 (Interfax) - The Samara region's Governor Nikolai Merkushkin said one person was killed in the explosions that have recently occurred in the testing ground near the city of Chapayevsk.

"One official was killed in the explosion at the testing ground. Some people were injured," Merkushkin told reporters on Wednesday.

According to earlier reports, ammunition exploded at the testing ground in Chapayevsk, Samara region, on Tuesday evening. The explosions continued all night, hurting dozens of people. According to media reports, ten or 11 people have been hospitalized.
