Mail.ru Group mulling expansion into foreign markets

ST. PETERSBURG. June 21 (Interfax) - Mail.ru Group, one of Russia's leading Internet companies, is actively thinking about entering foreign markets, chief executive Dmitry Grishin said at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

"Until 2012, Internet companies in Russia focused on the Russian market. Having flexed their muscles, they began thinking about expansion. For us this happened with the games business - experience has shown that this is possible for Russian products," Grishin said.

Mail.ru already said last October that it was interested in foreign markets, and it unveiled the brand under which it planned to enter markets outside of the CIS - My.com.
