Kuzbassrazrezugol plans to up coking concentrate output 8.5% in 2013

KEMEROVO. June 25 (Interfax) - OJSC Kuzbassrazrezugol Coal Company, or KRU , which is managed by LLC UMMC-Holding, plans to boost coking concentrate production by 8.5% to 4.62 million tonnes this year, the company said in its 2012 report.

In particular, the Bachatskaya-Koksovaya Concentrator plans to produce 2.22 million tonnes of KO concentrate and 120,000 tonnes of KS concentrate, while the Krasnobrodskaya-Koksovaya Concentrator will produce 2.28 million tonnes of KS concentrate.

Supplies of coal for coking are expected to grow 2.2% to 101,000 tonnes this year.

Kuzbassrazrezugol is the second-biggest coal producer in Russia and develops 17 Kuzbass deposits. KRU includes six branches: the Kedrovsky, Mokhovsky, Bachatsky, Krasnobrodsky, Taldinsky and Kaltansky open pit mines, the Baykaimskaya mine and three isolated business units - Avtotrans, Salair Mining Production and Geologiya.
