Gazprom warns Europeans of 'negative experience' using Ukrainian gas storage

MOSCOW. June 28 (Interfax) - Gazprom has warned Europe-based companies against making use of Ukraine's underground gas storage capacity, citing its own bad experience.

"Ukraine says that gas can be stored in its underground gas storage facilities. Gazprom has experience of that, experience of pumping gas into Ukrainian storage that is profoundly negative," Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller said at a press conference.

"We found out for ourselves to never, ever pump gas into underground storage in Ukraine. We are not pumping gas [into it] and will not, no matter how advantageous the terms that Ukraine offers," he said.
