Prosecutor wants Magnitsky and Browder to be declared guilty of tax-evasion in absentia

MOSCOW. July 3 (Interfax) - The prosecutor in Moscow's Tverskoy district court on Wednesday suggested declaring the head of the Hermitage Capital fund, William Browder, and the fund's lawyer, Sergei Magnitsky, who died in a pretrial detention facility, guilty of tax-evasion in absentia.

He made the suggestion during the presentation of their cases.

He said that the guilt of the suspects was proven by materials examined during the course of the trial and by testimony of witnesses.
