Russian gas costing Naftogaz $400 per 1,000 m3 in Q3 - minister

KYIV. June 25 (Interfax) - Ukraine's national oil and gas company Naftogaz Ukrainy is buying Russian natural gas for $400 per thousand cubic meters this quarter, Ukraine's Energy and Coal Industry Minister Eduard Stavytsky said at a briefing on Wednesday.

"With regard to pricing under the contract between Naftogaz and Gazprom for the third quarter, it is approximately four hundred dollars [per thousand cubic meters]," he said.

The minister pointed out that the natural gas coming from Europe costs some $30 less per 1,000 cubic meters.

Interfax data indicates that the average price for Russian natural gas charged to Naftogaz Ukrainy was $410-$412 per thousand cubic meters in the second quarter.
