Renaissance Capital appoints new legal dept head

MOSCOW. July 8 (Interfax) - Investment bank Renaissance Capital has appointed Peter Clateman the head of its legal department and compliance service, the bank said on its website.

Clateman joined Renaissance Capital in June 2013. Before joining Renaissance Capital, Clateman was a senior lawyer at the hedge fund VR Capital for four years and before that he headed the legal department at Rusal and was a legal consultant for Sputnik.

The post was previously held by Mark Harris, who joined Renaissance Capital in February 2010 as legal department chief. Before that he worked for over 10 years at Lehman Brothers as a managing director and legal department chief and ran the departments in Europe, Russia, Turkey and the Middle East.

The website also says that Donna Burns, the former head of PR, has also left the company.

Burns joined Renaissance Capital in October 2010. Before that she was a managing director at Goldman Sachs, where she had various top management posts and was responsible for strategy in emerging markets with an emphasis on plans in India.

A Renaissance Capital official confirmed the top management changes to Interfax.
