Ukraine should explore alternative markets - PM Azarov
KYIV. July 11 (Interfax) - Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has called for the exploration of alternative foreign markets.
"It appears evident once again that Ukraine should actively look for alternatives on foreign markets and work to make our foreign trade more balanced. It is wrong to compare markets in terms of their importance for us," Azarov said in opening a government meeting on Thursday.
Azarov particularly warned against opposing the European Union or the Customs Union. He also criticized opposition's statements to the effect that Ukraine has no reason to cooperate with the Customs Union. "Such statements, on the one hand, show a low level of state responsibility and, on the other, the level of competence of these politicians," he said.
