Counterterrorist operation regimes in N. Ossetia lifted
VLADIKAVKAZ, Russia. July 11 (Interfax) - Counterterrorist operation regimes declared in two villages in North Ossetia, a republic in Russia's North Caucasus, at 6 a.m. on Thursday were lifted as of 4 p.m., the Federal Security Service (FSB) said.
"The threat of penetration by members of bandit groups into the republic have been eliminated as a result of a set of measures. Potential fatalities and destruction have been averted, no one has been hurt," the FSB said in a statement.
The regimes were imposed in the villages of Maisky and Severny in the Prigorodny district.
