Ukrainian envoy is certain trade wars will not happen between Kyiv and Moscow

SOCHI. July 12 (Interfax) - Viktor Suslov, Ukraine's representative at the Eurasian Economic Commission, has said he is convinced that Kyiv and Moscow can avoid trade wars through negotiations.

"It seems to me that it is incorrect to speak about trade wars between Ukraine and Russia. Various regulations can be understood differently from time to time. But I am certain that eventually agreements will be reached that will suit both sides. There will be no trade wars," Suslov told reporters in the Russian Black Sea resort of Sochi on Friday.

Suslov said that he would be introduced to Russia in his new capacity today.

The envoy said that his main task would be to thoroughly analyze any possible trade disputes between Ukraine and the member countries of the Customs Union and try to sort out any problems before they are made public.
