Snowden agrees not to damage U.S. interests - Russian lawmaker
MOSCOW. July 12 (Interfax) - Russian lawmaker Vyacheslav Nikonov said Edward Snowden had agreed to accept Moscow's condition to stop damaging U.S. interests.
"He said he was informed of this condition and that he can easily accept it. He does not intend to damage the United States' interests given that he is a patriot of his country," Nikonov told the press after Snowden's meeting with Russian rights campaigners.
This term is essential for Moscow's consent to process his request for political asylum.
