Senior Russian military official to inform military attaches about surprise troops inspection
MOSCOW. July 13 (Interfax) - Russia's Deputy Defense Minister Anatoly Antonov will meet with the military attaches of neighboring countries and member-states of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe to inform them about the current surprise inspection of the Eastern Military District, which also covers forces of the Central Military District.
"I plan to meet with the military attaches of neighboring countries and OSCE member-states in the afternoon on Monday to inform them about the current surprise inspection of the troops' readiness," Antonov told journalists after a conference call at the Defense Ministry.
"The meeting will be held at Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu's instructions," he said.
"Not all military diplomats accredited in Moscow will attend," Antonov said.
