Taneko plans to boost oil refining 14% to 8 mln tonnes in 2013
MOSCOW. July 18 (Interfax) - OJSC Taneko, the refining complex controlled by oil-producer OJSC Tatneft , anticipates a processing increase this year of 14.2% to eight million tonnes from last year's a bit over seven million tonnes, the company said in a statement.
As of last Friday, Taneko had processed some 3.8 million tonnes of crude. Depth of processing was more than 74% and light oil product output was more than 49%. Production is running at 14.7% over design capacity.
"In the [current] half the oil refinery workforce will be doing a lot of preparatory work to ensure oil-refining in the amount of eight and a half million tonnes a year," the statement says.
Put into commercial operation in November 2011, TANECO produces straight-run gasoline, industrial kerosene, vacuum gas oil, fuel oil and granulated sulfur.
Tatneft owns 91% of the complex's shares, and Tatarstan's government-owned OJSC Svyazinvestneftekhim holds 9%.
