Nizhnekamskneftekhim gets new CEO
KAZAN. July 18 (Interfax) - Oleg Nesterov has been named as the new general director of Tatarstan-based petrochemicals company Nizhnekamskneftekhim , Dmitry Nemanov, spokesman for the TAIF group of companies, told reporters.
Nesterov was previously deputy general director for production.
Nesterev started at his new post on Thursday.
Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held a meeting Thursday with TAIJF and Nizhnekamskneftekhim management at which it was observed that Nizhnekamskneftekhim plays a significant role in the development of Russia's petrochemicals industry.
Minnikhanov said that over the next three months an additional detailed list of measures to speed up the implementation of Nizhnekamskneftekhim's major projects should be compiled.
"The company's strategic development program envisages it carrying out a volume of work that is three times the scale of the last 15 years and in a shorter timeframe," Nemanov said. Because of this a new post of deputy general director for the management and strategic development of Nizhnekamskneftekhim has been been created and Nizhnekamskneftekhim CEO Vladimir Busygin has been appointed to that post, Nemanov said.
Busygin will start his new post on July 22.
Busygin was born in 1949 and has led Nizhnekamskneftekhim since 1999.
Nesterov was born in 1960 and has worked at Nizhnekamskneftekhim for over 30 years. He became deputy general director in 2012.
One of Nizhnekamskneftekhim's current major projects is an ethylene complex with 1 million tonne capacity. The company currently has the capacity to produce 600,000 tonnes of ethylene per year so the project will boost that to 1.6 million tonnes. The new complex is expected to be ready in 2017. Construction costs are estimated at $3 billion.
