Transnefteproduct to supply Transneftenergo power starting next year
MOSCOW. July 22 (Interfax) - Transnefteproduct LLC will as of the first of next year be supplying electric power to all subsidiary pipeline organizations of OJSC Transnefteprodukt (TNP), part of Russian oil pipeline company OJSC Transneft .
The Transnefteprodukt website says that, in place of multiple third-party suppliers and power sales companies, these services will be rendered by Transneft's own service organization.
At the present time, Transneftenergo supplies power from the wholesale market to TNP subsidiaries: OJSC Southwest Transnefteproduct on the borders of the Bryansk and Penza regions, LLC BalttransService, and LLC Balttransnefteproduct in Leningrad Region.
"Delivery of electric energy by one company in the framework of Transneft system organizations will make it possible not only to increase the quality of service, but also ensure the facilities' energy security, optimize material costs for electric energy, simplify the procedure for registration and the settlement system, and also reduce risks associated with deliveries of electric energy," TNP says.
