Dagestan government dismissed

MAKHACHKALA. July 22 (Interfax) - Dagestan's acting head Ramzan Abdulatipov dismissed the government on Monday and appointed ex-deputy prime minister Anatoly Karibov as acting prime minister.

The announcement was made at a cabinet meeting which focused on the republic's socioeconomic development, an Interfax correspondent reported.

"Abdulatipov dismissed the government for its inefficiency. The Cabinet members will perform their duties temporarily until a new government is formed," Abdulatipov's spokesman Magomedbek Akhmedov told Interfax.
